Waldbühne 2012 - Andris Nelsons
Every summer at the Waldbühne, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra delivers a splendid outdoor classical concert. Featuring the young Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons and first violin Daishin Kashimoto, the 2012 edition of the Waldbühne celebrates Tchaikovsky's music. On the program: The Fifth Symphony in E minor, the Sérénade mélancolique in B flat minor, the Waltz-scherzo in C major, Op. 34, Souvenir d'un lieu cher, Op. 42, and The Year 1812, Festival Ouverture, Op. 49. True to tradition, the Berliner Philharmoniker concludes the concert with Paul Lincke's Berliner Luft.
