Waldbühne 1994 - A Night of Dances and Rhapsodies
The Berliner Philharmoniker performs a beautiful annual concert at the Waldbühne in Berlin, an amphitheatre with a 22,290 capacity. In 1994, conductor Mariss Jansons and pianist Mikhail Rudy were invited to perform dances and rhapsodies. The concert kicks off with Franz von Suppé’s Light Cavalry Overture. Later in the program you can enjoy the famous Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Franz Liszt and Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5, which he originally wrote for piano. The program ends with Dvorák’s Slavonic Dance No. 1.
