The masterclass starts with explanations about the Polonaise. Professor Nebolsin explains the most important moments in the piece and insists in the idea of enjoying the details. The thinks that the way we move is a sympton of how we feel the music. He also talks about rhythm and the accents on the score, which mean most of the times an expressive note, as well as the dot in the first chord of a bar, which means that chord is not relevant. It is interesting to imagine that we play with a bow, so the gestures are horizontal. The dialog question-answer has to be emphasised. They work on trills, expression and metronome as well.
