Saskia Giorgini began her piano studies at the Accademia Pianistica in Imola with Franco Scala, Louis Lortie and Michel Dalberto, among others. She is currently continuing her studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Enrico Pace and Pavel Gililov. She has attended masterclasses with Aldo Ciccolini, Zoltán Kocsis, Elisso Virsaladze and Rian de Waal, among others. Saskia Giorgini has played at important festivals such as the MiTo Settembre Musica Festival and the Holland International Music Sessions. She also participated at the Lockenhaus Festival Summer Academy. She gives recitals and also regularly performs with chamber music ensembles and with orchestra. She played Rachmaninov’s First Piano Concerto in New York with the NYCA Orchestra under the direction of Kurt Masur. In July 2012 she won Second Prize, the Mozart Prize and the Audience Prize at the Prix d’Amadèo de Piano.
