Pianist Nicholas Susi studied at the music departments of the Universities of Kansas and Michigan and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne. His main teachers were Zena Ilyashov, Jack Winerock, Zitta Zohar, Arthur Greene and Nina Tichman. He has taken part in masterclasses with Leon Fleisher, Richard Goode and Vladimir Feltsman. He won the First Prize at the Robert M. Spire Piano Competition in Omaha (2008) and at the International Klavierfestival Rosrath Competition (2013). Nicholas Susi has often performed in recitals and as a lied accompanist and soloist with various orchestras in Europe and the United States, among which the Wiener Residenz Orchester, the Omaha Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City, and the St. Louis Chamber Orchestra.
