Passionate Measures - Episode 1
Passionate Measures is a ten episode TV series about the South Netherlands Philharmonic. You, the viewer, get a special behind-the-scenes look at the orchestra of the Southern Netherlands. In the first episode, you get to know the orchestra as it begins its new musical season after returning from summer recess in 2016. The South Netherlands Philharmonic’s first project is a collaboration with the American techno DJ Jeff Mills. Two separate domains of music converge for a performance at the Zomerparkfeest in Venlo for over 10.000 spectators. The orchestra wants to reach a much younger audience by working together with this popular DJ. Will the open air concert in Venlo be a success?
