Passionate Measures is a ten episode TV series about the South Netherlands Philharmonic. You, the viewer, get a special behind-the-scenes look at the orchestra of the Southern Netherlands. In this third episode, you see a special concert by the South Netherlands Philharmonic in Maastricht. It’s the inaugural performance by the new chief conductor, Dmitry Liss. The Russian conductor presents a programme that immediately underscores his versatility. How will the concert go? What will the audience say, or the press, of Dmitry Liss? In this episode you also get to know the leader of the double bass section: Wouter Swinkels. He tells you about how he got to know classical music and how it became a passion for him.
