Passionate Measures - Episode 5

Passionate Measures is a ten episode TV series about the South Netherlands Philharmonic. You, the viewer, get a special behind-the-scenes look at the orchestra of the Southern Netherlands. This fifth episode, let’s take a closer look at the orchestra’s ambition to play for a younger audience. Since 2016, there is the Spicy Classics project specially for that purpose. We follow Roxanne Doyen, of the marketing and communication’s team of the South Netherlands Philharmonic. With this new formula, she hopes to attract more students to classical music concerts. For this special performance, a remarkable venue is found in order to play outside the traditional four walls of the concert hall. Will the South Netherlands Philharmonic succeed at connecting more young people to classical music with this new concept?
