The Keller Quartet is an all-Hungarian quartet, consisting of András Keller (violin), János Pilz (violin), Zoltán Gál (viola), and Péter Somodari (violoncello). Against the backdrop of the atmospheric Academy of Sciences in Budapest, the Keller Quartet plays J. S. Bach’s unfinished masterpiece The Art of Fugue (BWV 1080) in a version for string quartet, intertwined with works by György Kurtág, the renowned contemporary Hungarian composer.
