Roberta Invernizzi, Stefano Molardi, Jonathan Guyonnet & I Virtuosi delle Muse
The chamber orchestra I Virtuosi delle Muse under the baton of Stefano Molardi choose a beautiful 13th century location in Venice to give their concert in 2011: The Scuole Grandi. Together with soloists Roberta Invernizzi (soprano) and Jonathan Guyonnet (pianoforte) they play a program with music that hasn’t often been heard. The concert starts with pieces from Grétry – La caravane du Caire. Grétry composed this Opéra-ballet in 1783. It was one of his most successful large-scale works and received over 500 performances at the Paris Opera up to 1829. Other pieces on the program are Gossec – Sinfonia Concertante, Mozart – Zeffiretti Iusighieri from ‘Idomeneo’, Dalayrac – Ouverture from Renaud d’Ast, Berton – Concert for soprano, violin, cello and pianoforte, Rigel – Concerto concertante for pianoforte and violin and Devienne – pieces from Les Comédiens ambulants.
