The modern dance piece by French dance ensemble Garde Robe, titled “Parasite”, addresses omnipresent and familiar human emotions. While they might be perceived as silly at times, they are undeniably indispensable, making our lives complicated and enriching it simultaneously. Through dance and music, the performers of Garde Robe express the human desire to find balance, take a step back, share doubts and fears. Parasite invites viewers to listen to the "me" and to marvel at the "us" forming our identities as human. It challenges to face our own ego, our pride - forcing us into often misplaced modesty - to end up laughing at our own fears because in this inexhaustible thirst for renewal, it is so refreshing to get lost again. The choreography was created by Sandrine Lescourant and executed by Julia Flot, Johanna Faye, Cintia Golitin, Sandrine Lescourant, Marie Marcon. Recorded 2016 at the Maison des Arts et de la Culture de Créteil, France.
