A Celebration of French Music
Parisian conductor Zahia Ziouani started her conducting education in 1996, at 18 years old. Since then, she has given over 600 concerts and was honored with multiple awards, among which the Price of Feminine Success in 2006. Today, Ziouani conducts both the the National Symphony Orchestra of Algeria and the Divertimento Symphony Orchestra of Paris. In “A Celebration of French Music”, she is joined by the latter on a musical journey through the works of France’s most important classical composers. The 2010 concert at the Cité de la Musique features music by Emmanuel Chabrier, Edouard Lalo, Paul Dukas and Camille Saint-Saens.
