Von Weber - Grand Duo Concertant, Op. 48.
Paul Meyer (clarinet) and Eric Le Sage (piano) perform Von Weber’s Grand Duo Concertant, Op. 48. The three-movement work for clarinet and piano was composed in 1815 and 1816. It is a virtuosic piece which Weber likely composed for himself on piano and his close friend Heinrich Baermann, a leading clarinettist of the era, though it has also been suggested to be intended for clarinettist Johann Simon Hermstedt. Recorded at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk, Denmark.
