Stage directors David Bobée and Caroline Mutel bring a contemporary light to Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's score, performed by Les Nouveaux Caractères by staging the pain of refugees who had no other choice than to leave their country. Their story is told by dancer Bobie Mfoumou, who incarnates both their strength and fragility, and the acrobat Salvo Capello, who evokes with extreme sensitivity the souls of all those who have disappeared. The production also features music by Félix Perdreau, George Frederic Handel, and Arcangelo Corelli. Ensemble Les Nouveaux Caractères is conducted by Sébastien d'Hérin in this 2018 recording from Centre Dramatique National de Normandie-Rouen.
