Works for winds by Françaix, Mendelssohn a. o.

This concert, which features various works for wind ensembles, is part of the ‘Da Camera’ concert series of the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. On the program are: Jean Françaix’s Quasi improvisando for 11 wind instruments; Felix Mendelssohn’s Nocturne for 11 wind instruments; and Antonín Dvořák’s Serenade for 10 wind instruments, cello and double bass in D minor, Op. 44. All works are performed by the Ensemble of the Escuela Reina Sofía under the baton of Francisco Alonso Serena. This performance was recorded at Auditorio Sony of the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, Spain, on April 8, 2022.
