English conductor Paul Goodwin leads the Camerata of the Escuela Reina Sofía in a Baroque music program featuring works of Georg Philipp Telemann, Henry Purcell, George Frideric Handel, and J. S. Bach. Soprano Paola Leguizamón features as the soloist. On the program are: Telemann’s ‘Water Music’ suite in C major, TWV 55:C3; the Overture and ‘Thy hand, Belinda… When I am laid in earth’ from Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas; Overture I and II, and ‘E vivo ancora? … Scherza infida’ from Handel’s opera Ariodante, HWV 33; ‘Vani sono i lamenti … Svegliatevi nel core’ from Handel’s opera Giulio Cesare in Egitto, HWV 17; and Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068.
