Ueda - Gently, like the trickling of melting ice

Intercultural chamber music ensemble AU Ensemble performs Canadian contemporary composer Rita Ueda’s ‘gently, like the trickling of melting ice’ (2014). Vancouver-based composer Ueda writes orchestral, operatic, and choral works that reflect the ever-shifting interactions between cultures in flux. Ueda is the recipient of the First Prize of the Penderecki International Composers’ Competition (2014) and the Azrieli Commission Prize for Canadian Music (2022). This performance was recorded at the Deep Cove Shaw Theatre in North Vancouver, Canada, on March 23, 2022.
