Concours musical international de Montréal: Violin 2019 - Final

Stingray Classica continues its broadcasts of the Violin Edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal 2019 (CMIM) on Tuesday evenings at 21:00 CEST throughout May. Twenty-four of the world’s finest young violinists took part in this edition of the CMIM. The violinists competed in two rounds. Out of the semi-final, six competitors performed in a final round.

Elli Choi (United States, 2001) performs Béla Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2, Sz. 112, during the finals of the 2019 Violin Edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM). She is accompanied by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alexander Shelley. This performance was recorded at the Montreal Symphony House.

Christine Lim (United States/South Korea, 1994) performs Jean Sibelius’s Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47, during the finals of the 2019 Violin Edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM).
