Pierre-Laurent Aimard (piano), Elisabeth Batiashvili (violin), Vladimir Mendelssohn (viola) and Sonia Wieder-Atherton (violoncello) perform Johannes Brahms' Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, at the 2001 edition of the Kuhmo Festival for Chamber Music in Finland. Brahms (1833-1897) composed this work between 1856 and 1861. It premiered in 1861 in Hamburg, with Robert Schumann's wife, Clara Schumann on piano.
